Episode 23: Zadie Smith
Zadie Smith is back with a new book. And it's called 'NW' and it's awesome. I'm more NW than Zadie, because I grew NW of her NW. I grew up in Harrow. She in Willesden and Kilburn. We only had a short time because of traffic but we got through a lot. We talk about NW, about how it was meant to be shorter, about Jay-Z, about realism and technology in literature, about James Baldwin. I try and impress. She indulges me.
She's great, basically. Great. Great. Great.
The Subaltern Podcast - Author Nikesh Shukla talks to other writers and authors and novelists about stuff, from writing to r'n'b. It's the anti-panel discussion.

Thanks to Zadie for letting me be one of the chosen few who got to talk to her about this great book.
